In reference to player costs, what is the best method of recouping your advances to the client? Is there some type of agreement where the client must pay back the money given to him?

Typically Agents pay for up front training costs with agreement that player does not have to pay them back. The agent earns these costs back on contract commissions or through marketing, endorsements. Occasionally agents will offer loans to the player before he gets his money from playing. These costs are handled like any other loan and should involve a legally binding contract with an expressed payback period and payment schedule if the agent is smart about it.
